PC repair information

Filename is TECH.TXT
Used to build personality TECH for the M.I.P.S. trail version.

The information in this file has been compiled by several PC technicians.
The data is correct as possible but no guarantee is granted or implied.
To add information to this file, type QUESTION: return followed by any keywords
associated with the answer or information about to be entered. Then type
return twice and type ANSWER: and return. Then type the information to be
displayed when any of the keywords in the question are typed by the user.
Once this file has been updated, exit your editor and type CONVERT and press
return. Then type TECH.TXT,TECH.BOK as the "in,out" filenames, press return to
start the conversion process. CONVERT will then build a BOOKFILE from this
TEXTBOOK file.
Now that the BOOKFILE has been created, type HELLO and press retuen to load the
M.I.P.S. system and bring up the MAIN MENU. Once at the MAIN MENU type TECH
and return to load the TECH personality.
Type ON and return to sign on to the system, and when prompted, enter your
password and press return. Once signed on as user 1, type LEVEL and press
RETURN to raise to Teacher level.
Now type NEW and return to erase the information already in memory. Answer Y
when prompted if you are sure. Now type READ=TECH.BOK and return to read the
newly converted BOOKFILE named TECH.BOK.
The information should now be in memory. To confirm that the BOOKFILE was read
correctly, type LIST and return. If the LIST is successful you will see each
question from the TEXTBOOK followed by the answer generated by the CONVERT
program.
Once the data has been LISTed correctly, type SAVE=TECH and press RETURN. This
saves the the information in memory as the personality TECH. Next time you
call TECH from the MAIN MENU, the updated information will be available.
